The long awaited dates of the SJ Summer Festival 2012 are out: JUNE 21-22-23-24 at the Surfer Joe's Diner, Terrazza Mascagni, Livorno > Surf City Italy :) The festival will be FREE ADMISSION, lots of bands from everywhere as usual, actually this year we will cover more countries than ever. It has been a while since last time we saw the Italian SURFONIANI in Livorno. We are glad to announce their show on saturday April 14 at the Diner!

The usual saturday night show with surf bands at the SJ Diner will be moved to SUNDAY during the summertime. We will follow a program of so-called "surfin' sundays" probably on late afternoon. The Razorblades shows went very well although the tour has been pretty short due the cancellation of the first show from the promoter. The show at the SJ Diner has been excellent: audience was much enjoyed by the magic of Martin on guitar with a brilliant show. After a set list of originals and a few relatively obscure covers, the Wipeout at the end really made people dancing. Hope to see this great band again soon!

This is big: the largest vintage Fender Guitars exhibition, from private collections, ever done in Italy. Thanks to Mr. Flavio Camorani (private collector) and in collaboration M. Casale Bauer (Fender Italia) we will organize the largest Fender showcase at the Surfer Joe's Diner. Upstairs the club, overlooking the sea, you will be able to look and - eventually - test all the Fender production between 1951 and 1965 with pieces up to 1974. Not only guitars: there will be a massive collection of Fender amps from mid-50s including the whole blonde brownface series. The admission is free, everybody is welcome. The week at the diner will be full of concerts touching many different music genres (blues, jazz, rockabilly, swing, country, surf) and the exhibition will be available for one entire week, from 21.5 to 27.5. Mr. Camorani will guide small groups of visitors through the collection explaining the various construction techniques and the differences between the models. The City of Livorno is officially supporting the event.
